Technology for a Developing World Dimagi is a dedicated group of clinicians and programmers looking for ways to improve quality of life and quality of care around the world. Since its founding in 2002, Dimagi has successfully executed numerous international and domestic technological projects. Dimagi has led development on SmartCare, the national electronic medical record system in Zambia. Dimagi is also a founding member of the OpenRosa consortium and the lead developers of JavaRosa, an open-source, mobile, data collection application being used in studies throughout Africa. At Dimagi, we pride ourselves on building deployable systems that produce immediate results. We focus on providing the best possible user experience and impact on the ground while also implementing a system that can scale up - to a national level if necessary. We design our systems with careful attention to the available technologies on the ground. We have experience working in areas with limited resources, unreliable power, and limited or intermittent network connectivity. Using a wide array of technologies, we are able to provide the appropriate solution in nearly any environment. To date, our clients have included NGOs, governmental organizations, academic institutions, businesses, and passionate individuals.
