Alexis joined Dimagi in October 2016, as a Field Manager based in West Africa to work with partners in the region to develop mobile applications using CommCare. She brings with her six years of experience in knowledge management, communications, and program management for global health projects within the NGO sector, focusing on women’s health and logistics and supply chains.
Prior to Dimagi, Alexis worked with several global health organizations, including Population Action International (PAI), Population Services International (PSI), and most recently John Snow, Inc. (JSI), where she spent the last three years. Alexis earned a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in International Development from American University in Washington, DC, and a Bachelor’s degree in Romance Languages from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
In her spare time, Alexis volunteers for an American non-profit organization that supports orphans and vulnerable children in Mali. She also loves to travel to tropical destinations, learn languages, and try new cuisines. She is based in Dakar, Senegal, and speaks fluent French and is proficient in Spanish.
