Max is enthusiastic about returning to Dimagi India after several years working in monitoring and evaluation for various agencies. He is interested in epistemology and the use of monitoring, evaluation, and data systems design for decision-making. He plans to leverage these experiences to contribute to strengthened implementation monitoring for various projects in India.
While away from Dimagi, Max was the Monitoring and Evaluation Director for Mercy Corps Afghanistan where he managed monitoring systems for agriculture and livelihoods programs and supported various research programs on Afghan migration, counter-violence extremism, and livelihoods. Max additionally was a Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant at Oxford Policy Management for humanitarian evaluations, including an evaluation of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR)’s global protection strategy and also an evaluation on UNHCR’s cash programming for Syrian refugees and linkages with coping mechanisms. He studied at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
Outside (and inside) of Dimagi, you likely may find Max studying contemporary Indo-Iranian languages, eating chicken livers, dancing to item numbers, and definitely smiling.
