Devika is driven by an interest in understanding international development at the grassroots level and the role of technology in bringing about change. Growing up, she lived in various cities across the length and breadth of India, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Udaipur, Baroda and Hyderabad. Having returned, she is now keen to explore the “real” India.At Dimagi, she started as a Field Manager designing, deploying and training on mobile health tools for community health workers such as ASHAs and Anganwadi Workers in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. She now manages partner engagement in Asia, working with a wide range of NGOs, foundations and government organizations to devise mHealth solutions to strengthen their frontline programs, especially around developing mobile job aids for facility and community based primary health care workers in maternal and child health, family planning, tuberculosis, malaria, HIV / AIDS and non-communicable diseases. She also works on internal growth and professional development initiatives in the India country office.
Prior to joining Dimagi, Devika worked in financial and economic consulting at National Economic Research Associates (NERA)/Oliver Wyman in New York, USA. In addition to working in finance, she also has a wide range of past work experiences which include research on effective team leadership at Harvard, co-founding Roshni, a non-profit to fund scholarships for underprivileged girls, and fundraising & business development for two Indian NGOs. Devika studied at Franklin & Marshall College & Oxford University and has a double major in Business and Psychology, along with a minor in Computer Science.
