Dimagi Honored as Top B Corp for Customers

As part of an annual assessment by B lab, Dimagi has been recognized among the top 10 percent of B Corporations worldwide in the annual “Best for the World” awards.

Dimagi was specifically recognized in the the “Best for Customers” category – which includes businesses that earned a top 10% customer score of all global Certified B Corporations. This award represents the highest standard for social impact companies globally.

B (or “benefit”) corporations are “for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.” Today, there are over 1,800 B Corps globally – including some larger companies like Etsy, Ben & Jerry’s, Patagonia, etc.

Dimagi was among the first cohort of companies to sign up as a benefit corporation in December of 2012, when Massachusetts became the eleventh state to pass the statute allowing benefit corporations.

“We’ve always supported the B Corporations’ efforts to formalize legal frameworks for organizations like Dimagi, who do not fit traditional non-profit and for-profit models,” Dimagi Chief of Operations Carter Powers said.

“We believe improved transparency and accountability to customers, employees, and partners can enable those who want to incorporate social impact into their behavior and work on a daily basis. As a company, we’re very proud to be a part of the B Corp community – and are especially proud today to be recognized for our work and relationships with customers.”
